Late at night, around 11:30 PM. All the ninjas in Konoha were gathered around in the center of the village. Everyone was basically with someone. Asuma with Kurenai, Kakashi being his serious cool self and doesn't need a date. But there deep in the crowd there stood Obito. He wandered around the crowd, he felt kinda down because everyone was with a date basically. He walked further into the crowd and noticed someone standing by the trees. He couldnt quite get a glimps of the figure so he continued to walk near the person. Obito accidently stepped on a stick, which startled the person. "I'm sorry! Did I scare you?" Obito quickly said. "N-No, you didn't" which was replied in a soft voice.


Obito walked closer to the figure and noticed it was Rin. Obito gave a smile cause he's always had his eye on Rin. "Rin, what's wrong?" Obito wondered. Rin looked up at him "I feel kind of alone" she replied. "Alone?" he questioned. She nodded her head "Yeah..well I mean..everyone is with somebody and the new year is coming in our village..and I still feel like nobody wants me." she sighed. "I couldn't even get Kakashi too like me". Obito hung his head down slightly. "Well there's other people out there, better then Kakashi!" Rin looked up at him once more. "You think there's someone for me?" she asked shyly. Obito nodded and gave a smile. "Oh I know there's someone out there." Rin smiled back and turned to the village.

Fireworks shooting everywhere! The new year was coming! Everyone was excited. People were dancing with their dates. Gai was dancing with a lampshade on his head and people were laughing. Kakashi pulled Gai aside "...what the hell are you doing?" "Oh come on Kakashi! Lighten up! Just having some fun, you should try it!" Gai shouted. Kakashi put his hand to his forehead "...I'd rather not" The people in Konoha looked like they were having so much fun. Games and everything going on. GIGANTIC FESTIVAL. Prizes everywhere! (omg i wanna be here now). "Let's go join in!" said Rin. She grabbed Obitos hand and ran into
the village with him. "O-okay!, dont tug so hard!" said Obito. Rin giggled "Sorry kinda excited"

After playing a few games everyone gathered and stared up. It was now 11:55 PM. The new year was almost here!. Rin grabbed Obito's hand and held it in hers.
"I'm so excited for the new year! what about you?" she asked. Obito looked down again. "Obito?" she asked. "Huh? oh what? oh YEAH I CANT WAIT" ehehe. he said
"Is something wrong?" Rin wondered. "No..it's nothing" he replied. Obito! you know you can tell me anything, now tell me" she said eagerly. "It's just..you'll
be mad if I ask".  "Ask what?" she wondered more. The time was now 11:59, the ball was beginging to drop. You could hear everyone counting down to the new year. "Rin..will you go out with me?!" Obito finally confessed. Rin had a shocked look on her face. She stared blankly at him. As the people were counting, Obito was getting even more nervous. "15..14..13..12" you could hear the people counting. Rin knew what she had to do now. "Yes..I will go out with you.." she said. Obito grew a smile on his face. "Really?!"he shouted. Rin nodded. "I told you someone was out there for you Rin" he said. Rin knew exactly what he ment now.

They stared at eachother for a moment. You could still here the people counting. "5....4....3.....2" Rin and Obito got close and shared kiss as the first kiss of their relationship "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" everyone shouted. Rin and Obito looked at eachother. "What a way to bring in the new year huh?" he smiled. Rin giggled slightly. "Yeah" she said
